Lou Zampini & Associates would like to present to you The Standard Posco System

CP is excited to provide advance notice of the release of the standard Posco system. This system is designed to improve the productivity of your workplace by increasing reliability in fastening operations.

What is the Posco system?
The Posco is a sequencing and positioning system that allows you to ensure the correct positioning and parameters for each step in a fastening operation. If, for example, you had an operation with six steps, and each fastener had a different torque requirement, the Posco system, coupled with an EB tool and controller, would allow you to be absolutely certain that the operation was being carried out correctly every time. For each step, the Posco would select the correct torque value for the tool, and would not allow the tool to run until it was in the correct position. Talk about reliability!

How does it work?
The Posco500 box is the central hub, where the operation is programmed. It communicates with a positioning arm, which holds the tool, and can monitor the tool's position on the X (linear) axis, the Y (rotary) axis, or on both axes. The Posco500 also communicates with a controller to determine the correct torque strategy for the current sequence in the operation. Once the tool is in the correct position, and the correct torque strategy is selected, the Posco500 allows the tool to actuate, thus guaranteeing correct fastening.

Is it difficult to use?
No. The Posco500 box is simple to program, and does not even require any additional software; everything you need to program a Posco system is included in the Posco500 box. Once the box has been programmed, the system is ready to use and you will have sequencing control in your operation, regardless of how often the operator changes.

Will this really help?
Absolutely. A Posco system is another step in ensuring correct fastening in any application. Our EB tools and controllers do an excellent job of ensuring that a fastener is tightened correctly. Now with a Posco, you can ensure that the correct fastener is being tightened, no matter what. This system will greatly improve the reliability of your fastening operation.

Can I only use a Posco system with an EB tool?
A Posco system can be used with any type of tool: EB tools, low voltage electric screwdrivers, or even air tools. When using a Posco system with an air tool, we have a solenoid valve available that cuts off air flow to the tool until it is in the correct position that you specified.

What else is available as part of a Posco system?
The Posco system's modular design allows you to add features as they are needed, above and beyond a basic Posco500 box and positioning arm. These features include an LED module, a bit tray, and I/O expansion, which doubles the amount of available digital I/O. With the Posco system, the possibilities are endless!
