DTI 5000 Automatic Screw Feeder

Automatic Feed Screwdriver

Demo VIDEO

Design & Service

The Design Tool team has a combined 80 years of experience in the design and manufacturing of automatic assembly equipment and vast AutoCAD knowledge. Each DTI 5000 is designed specifically to the customer’s fastener and application. The DTI 5000 can be designed with hand held, pistol grip, or straight type air screwdrivers with various rpm’s and torque, with reverse capabilities.

Efficient

The simplicity of the patented feed mechanism makes this machine less likely to experience mechanical failure. The twist-lock feed cover permits fast access to the feed mechanism allowing it to be disassembled and reassembled in seconds without the use of tools. This simple design, in conjunction with the twist-lock feed cover, exposes the screws moving through the feed mechanism allowing quick visible detection and accessibility should a jam occur because of a foreign object or a defective screw. The automatic timed shut off feature on the DTI 5000 base unit reduces wear on the feeder bowl and makes the unit more efficient. The machine automatically shuts off if unit is not cycled for 7-8 seconds and restarts when the operator drives another screw.

Ease Of Operation

Our unique barrel design allows the DTI 5000 to be much smaller in size and lighter in weight in comparison to other machines. The patented barrel design allows flexibility to position the micro switch and entrance tube anywhere on the barrel and sleeve assembly. This design enables the DTI 5000 to be used in more applications than other units on the markets today.

Wera Adjustable Torque Screwdrivers

Cologne / Wuppertal. New adjustable torque screwdrivers, that will appeal to additional target groups, are going to enhance the Wera range. The newly developed torque tools, manufactured by the specialist tool manufacturer from Wuppertal (Germany), offer not only practically-oriented application advantages and the tried-and-tested Wera-brand quality, but also feature a highly attractive price-performance ratio. The reasonable price is a result of a complete new design and construction process by Wera. The use of innovative materials makes these new torque screwdrivers particularly light-weight, while maintaining the trusted Wera quality.
The new tools have a broad spectrum of applications in trade and industry. Wherever controlled screw fastening is essential, the new adjustable torque screwdrivers allow for easy, secure and precise fastening of torque-critical screw connections. The desired torque values are adjusted quickly and effortlessly through an integrated adjustment ring, which means that no special tool is required. The adjustment ring locks into place when the relevant torque value is selected, with a positive feel. The new Wera torque screwdrivers meet the standards of the EN ISO 6789 with regards to measuring accuracy. When the pre-set torque value is reached, the torque indicator releases mechanically and provides both audible and tactile feedback to the operator, by slipping over. There is unlimited torque transfer available for the removal of fasteners.

Wera Ringmagnet Rapidator

Hermann Werner GmbH & Co. KG presented an important innovation for craftsmen working in wood. The screwdriver and screwdriver insert specialist is offering the Rapidaptor® quick release bit holder which they developed and patented, now also with a ring magnet.
The ring magnet construction means that long and heavy screws, such as those frequently used in indoor extensions, can now be held securely on the bit, even in awkward installation situations. The working principle is simple and effective: When a screw is placed on the bit head, the ring magnet attracts a floating sleeve onto the screw head. The strong magnetic force holds the screw securely. There is no longer any need to hold the screw manually during the screwing operation. Losing screws and looking for them laboriously after they have fallen are now things of the past.
A further advantage is that the bit is always inserted into the screw to its maximum depth of penetration thanks to the ring magnet construction. This achieves maximum positive drive, and thereby the highest possible transfer of force. The perfectly snug fit further prevents premature wear to the bit and screw.

CP Team Truck

With an eye toward building stronger links with end-users, jobbers and distributors, Chicago Pneumatic is hitting the road with its new CP Truck Team. The pilot program includes a Ford F-350 dual axle pickup truck and 24-foot Pace Super-Duty trailer. While CP has provided support to distributor and channel partners in the past using a mobile tech van, the Truck Team concept reflects a new level of support and is the first traveling display devoted to automotive after-market professional tools.Tom Franzwa, a veteran Toledo-based CP product applications specialist, will coordinate the Team Truck's travel schedule. Colourfully decorated with the CP logo and high-profile graphics of the company's pneumatic and electric products, the Super-Duty trailer will visit distributor, jobber, warehouse and large end-user locations throughout the country. The program is aimed at promoting CP’s strengthened product portfolio boosting customer interest and providing a greater level of support for professional technicians. Fully heated and air conditioned, the trailer is equipped with concession-style swing up doors. It quickly converts into a comfortable, fully functioning mobile display and demonstration centre. Inside, to enhance presentations, are a flat panel display, audio system and tool storage area. An onboard power generator and compressor will help in Franzwa’s demos of CP automotive tools. The trailer’s two Skidmore-Wilhelm torque testers are available for showing the performance advantages offered by the CP 7750 Turbo 2.0 and other products.“CP customers are telling me the Team Truck concept is a great idea, they appreciate our increasing visibility and how we’re promoting our products for the automotive market,” Franzwa said. He knows what he’s talking about. Franzwa spent seven years in the air tools repair business before joining Chicago Pneumatic. His expertise extends to tool repair, use and application. CP officials expect the work of the inaugural Team Truck will strengthen the company’s connections to end users and mobile and stationary jobbers. They hope it will evolve into a major builder of the CP brand throughout distribution channels.
